Wilkes Community College congratulates the following 2021 Respiratory Therapy graduates: Kendra Carter, Wilkesboro; Melissa Edwards, West Jefferson; Kristen Hubbard, Statesville; Lauren Mathis, North Wilkesboro; and Cassie Shepherd, North Wilkesboro. The class was taught by Vickie Bell, Clinical Education Coordinator/Instructor; Amber Gambill, Instructor; and Tori Johnson, Instructor. Billy Woods is the director of the Respiratory Therapy program. The students graduated on May 11, 2021.
“I am so proud of each of these students. They had to change gears in learning styles and had many obstacles to overcome during their clinical education due to COVID 19. They have proven they are more than capable to do what it takes to succeed in an often chaotic and stressful environment, said Vickie Bell, MRSC Clinical Education Coordinator/Instructor. “I have no doubt in their abilities and am proud to have been a part of this journey with them.”
