  1. Companies must belong to one of the following industries:
    • Manufacturing
    • Information Technology
    • Life Sciences
    • Regional or National Warehousing / Distribution Center
    • Customer Support Center
    • Air Courier Services
    • National Headquarters
  2.  Companies must also meet two or more of the following criteria:
    • Make an appreciable capital investment
    • Deploy new technology
    • Create new jobs
    • Expand an existing workforce
    • Enhance the productivity and profitability of operations within North Carolina
    • Enhance the skills of workers
  • Job Growth: Focused on new companies wishing to locate in the Wilkes Community College service area, or companies currently in our area who wish to expand their operations. New companies may qualify for Pre-Employment Assessment to ensure qualified workers.
  • Productivity Enhancement: Designed to respond directly to the needs of our surrounding industries. Courses are developed through assessment of training needs and cooperative planning between Wilkes Community College and manufacturing industries.
  • Continuous Improvement: As you go through your daily operations, it is important to continually improve and enhance the basic skills of your workforce. Wilkes Community College provides various training to help in your continuous improvement efforts.
