WCC Announces Marshals for 2024 Commencement Ceremony

Wilkes Community College students with top academic standing have been named marshals for Wilkes Community College’s 58th Annual Commencement Ceremony to take place on Thursday, May 16, in the John A. Walker Community Center on the Wilkes Campus. Two ceremonies will be held.

The Arts and Sciences Division and Business and Public Service Technology Division (BPST) graduates will participate in the 4 p.m. ceremony. The Applied Career Technology Division and Health Sciences Division graduates will participate in the 7 p.m. ceremony. Members of the public may view the graduation ceremonies through a live stream at www.wilkescc.edu/Graduation.

The following students were selected for this honor:

Nathan Gray Barrows of North Wilkesboro is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Science program. He is the son of Gary and Amanda Barrows of North Wilkesboro.

 James Howard Brandt of Triplett is enrolled in the Associate in Applied Science program in Advertising and Graphic Design. His wife is Deborah Brandt.

 Isabelle Cecily Byers of North Wilkesboro is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Science program. She is the daughter of Anthony and Andrea Byers of North Wilkesboro.

Sawyer Knight Greene of Todd is a student at Ashe Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Science program. He is the son of Shane Greene of Todd and MaryBeth Knight of Todd.

 Ava Mikell Hamby of North Wilkesboro is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. She is the daughter of Michael and Joni Hamby of North Wilkesboro.

 Matthew Kirklyn Hamby of Wilkesboro is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. He is the son of Timothy and Lynette Hamby of Wilkesboro.

Abigail Shyanne Hill of West Jefferson is a student at Ashe Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Amanda Hill of West Jefferson.

Julie Shea Hodges of Millers Creek is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. She is the daughter of Johnny and Alexandra Hodges of Millers Creek.

Emily Grace Holbrook of Traphill is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program.

 Ashley Lynn Pardue of Lansing is a student at Ashe Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. She is the daughter of Aaron and Amanda Pardue of Lansing.

Lillian Grace Reynolds of West Jefferson is a student at Ashe County High School and is enrolled in the Career and College Promise program in the College Transfer Pathway for an Associate in Science. She is the daughter of Chris and Erin Reynolds of West Jefferson.

 Jasmine Cynthia Rosario of Hamptonville is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program. She is the daughter of Estanislao Rosario Trinidad and Christina Bullins Rosario of Hamptonville.

 Om Kartik Rupani of Wilkesboro is a student at Wilkes Early College High School and is enrolled in the Associate in Science program. She is the daughter of Kartik Kanaiyalal Rupani and Rina Kanaiyalal Rupani.
