Wilkes Community College (WCC) and the Wilkes County Commissioners held a brief signing ceremony during the County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, July 1, to celebrate the partnership between the County and WCC’s Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) program.
“Our Heavy Equipment Operator program will help students build strong careers while meeting critical workforce needs across our region,” said Mike Rodgers, President of Wilkes Community College. “This partnership with the County Commissioners demonstrates our shared commitment to growing opportunities right here in Wilkes County.”
This partnership will strengthen the local workforce by providing hands-on training for high-demand jobs in construction and related industries.
