Wilkesboro, N.C. – The Walker Center at Wilkes Community College is excited to present The Grand Ol’ Americana Show on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
A one-of-a-kind tribute to the spirit of Americana, this performance celebrates the culture, comedy, and music that define nostalgic American summers. Will Hearn’s Grand Ol’ Americana Show is performed “within the studio” of a retro radio show, broadcasting live from the 1776 AM L-B-R-T “Liberty” Radio Theatre. The show features internationally touring Americana favorites Blue Water Highway, the Liberty Radio Orchestra & Gospel Singers, and top entertainers from the Lone Star State.
Audiences will be transported back to the golden days of backyard BBQs, Route 66 road trips, fireflies at dusk, and fireworks on the 4th of July—making this the perfect evening of family-friendly entertainment.
