Beekeeping

WCC Ashe Campus and the Ashe County Beekeeping Association have partnered to support and offer Beginning Beekeeping, Intermediate Beekeeping, and Advanced Beekeeping courses. We serve men and women from 16 years of age and up, from all different walks of lives and professions, with one common interest: beekeeping! We have a strong emphasis on education and mentoring, with a desire to see the fading art of beekeeping return to prominence in our local area. Our students range from new beekeepers to master beekeepers, and even those who don’t own any bees!

Costs:

Beginning Beekeeping: $70 tuition
Intermediate Beekeeping: $70 tuition
Advanced Beekeeping: $70 tuition
Option to test for Beekeeping Certification (1st step in the Master Beekeeper’s Certification): $15 annual membership with NC State Beekeeping Association
