Federal regulations require that educational institutions provide specific information each semester to students and employees. The following notice is concerning the Annual Security Report, Consumer Information, and FERPA.
- Annual Security Report (ASR)
Federal regulations require that an Annual Security Report be compiled and published on or before October 1 each year. A link to the report is available on the WCCPD webpage.
The report is available in the “Additional Information” section. A hard copy of the report may also be picked up at the reception desk in Student Services. - Consumer Information Notice
Federal regulations require colleges and universities to annually provide current students, prospective students, and employees with consumer information. To make the information readily available, Wilkes Community College maintains a Consumer Information webpage. Anyone interested in viewing this information can visit www.wilkescc.edu/consumer-information/ to find links to web pages, reports, and additional details regarding Wilkes Community College. A paper copy of the information is available upon request from Wendy Nichols in the Student Services Office.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 is federal legislation regarding the privacy of student records. It governs the disclosure of education records maintained by institutions and access to those records.
