Wilkes Community College (WCC) and East Tennessee University (ETSU) are partnering to provide transfer pathways for students who earn an associate of applied science degree to complete one of 10+ bachelor’s degree programs.
“This partnership with ETSU further strengthens the relationship with Wilkes Community College and highlights the quality of education we offer to our students in Wilkes, Ashe, and Alleghany Counties. The 14 articulation and transfer agreements will expand the students’ opportunities to continue their path for lifelong learning. Many thanks to Dr. Noland and his team for working with WCC to support student transfer success at such high levels,” stated WCC President, Dr. Mike Rodgers.
“We are excited to support students’ professional and personal goals by providing a seamless pathway for those pursuing associate’s degrees in technical areas to earn a bachelor’s degree in applied science at ETSU,” said Dr. Jill LeRoy-Frazier, chair of ETSU’s Division of Cross-Disciplinary Studies.
ETSU’s President Dr. Brian Noland, Provost Dr. Kimberly McCorkle, and Associate Provost for Curriculum Dr Bill Flora met with Wilkes Community College President Dr Mike Rodgers for a formal signing event held on November 8 at the Model Mill Building in Johnson City, Tennessee.
