The WCC Alleghany Center Rotaract Club has been very active this fall. Their projects included collaborating with the Alleghany High School Interact Club in the “Socktober” event collecting socks for the homeless, purchasing items for the Infant Go-Bags for Social Services foster children program, purchasing gifts for a “Christmas Outreach” (formerly known as “Angel Tree”) child, volunteering at the Glade Creek School PTO Santa Shop, managing the recycling at the Alleghany Center and creating and maintaining distribution of “Care Kits” at the Alleghany Center – free information for students in need. To end a very busy semester, The Rotaract Club, along with the help of the WCC Alleghany Center Administrative Assistant, Sabrienna Edwards, sponsored a make-and-take ornament table at the Alleghany County Partnership for Children’s Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer Family Fun Night which took place on Friday, November 22nd at the Alleghany Fairgrounds/Higgins Center.
