Chris McClanahan, a student in the Advertising and Graphic Design Curriculum at Wilkes Community College won first prize in a statewide logo design competition. The competition from North Carolina Space Grant was open to all community college students across the state.
The logo design which appears on t-shirts, flyers, stickers and in the social media is for the 2018 Community College High Altitude Ballooning Team Challenge which is sponsored by NASA. Chris attended the Balloon Challenge in Hickory, N.C. on April 7 where he was recognized with his winning design.
