Nursing Information Session

The deadline to complete the Fall 2027 online nursing information session is December 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

This online information session (steps 1-3 below) must be completed by December 10, 2026, to be considered for the Fall 2027 nursing program. A 2027 nursing application must be completed prior to completing this information session. If a 2027 nursing application is not completed, the student will not receive credit for completing the information session online.

Complete the quiz below. You must score 10 out of 10 to pass the quiz. Once you pass, a form will appear and must be filled out to finalize the process. If you do not pass the quiz, review the material and attempt the quiz again as needed.

    1. 1. MAR reviews are held February 1, 2027 – February 26, 2027.

    2. 2. The TEAS Test Submission Deadline is January 29, 2027.

    3. 3. To be considered for admission, a student must achieve a level of Proficient, Advanced or Exemplary on the TEAS test.

    4. 4. To be considered for admissions, a student must have completed an approved CNA course or be enrolled in an approved CNA course by the applicant’s MAR review date.

    5. 5. When an applicant has met the minimum admission requirements, steps 1 through 6, the applicant must contact Andrea Smith at adsmith365@wilkescc.edu or 336-838-6459 to schedule a MAR review appointment.

    6. 6. If BIO 168 and BIO 169 (or an equivalent course) has been completed prior to entry into the Associate Degree Nursing program, it must have been completed within five years from the first day of the fall semester of entering the program. Otherwise, the credits will be considered to have expired and will not count towards fulfilling Associate Degree Nursing degree requirements and will not count in the Associate Degree Nursing admission point system.

    7. 7. Students must wait 12 days after the CNA I class ends to take the State Test. If admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing program, students should have their CNA I class completed no later than the Spring 2027 semester in order to test and be listed on the registry by the July 16th deadline.

    8. 8. Applicants must have a minimum program GPA of 2.8 or higher to be considered for admission.

    9. 9. Applicants must successfully complete the following required courses with a grade of "C" or better. The following classes must be completed or in progress before the applicant can schedule their MAR review:

      • a) One year/credit of a high school biology or college level biology

      • b) One year/credit of a high school chemistry or college level chemistry

    10. 10. Required courses must be successfully completed by the applicants MAR review date or the applicants MAR review will be cancelled.

    Step 3: Complete the Form

    When you submit your quiz above, you should receive an alert with your score. If you scored 100%, you will be redirected to an online certificate of understanding form. Please sign the certificate of understanding to complete the online nursing information session. You must complete the online form to receive credit for the information session.
