Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requires users to provide more than one method of authentication when accessing WCC resources off campus.  Users should add two, or more, methods to their Office 365 account.  Users can use these methods to reset their password or authenticate when prompted.

Enroll in MFA and Password Reset

New users will be prompted to add a MFA method to Office 365 the first time they log in.  Users must have at least two methods for MFA and Password Reset.

  • Go to My Profile http://myprofile.microsoft.com/
  • Sign in with college email and current password. (Example: jdemployee123@wilkescc.edu)
  • New Users will be prompted to add a MFA method the first time they log in.  Users can use the Microsoft Authenticator App, or choose to add another method.   We recommend text to phone for most users.   See the options and follow the prompts on screen.
  • Security methods options for MFA are:
    • Phone (text to phone is recommended )
    • Phone (call mobile phone is recommended)
    • Alternate Phone
    • Authenticator App
  • After a method is added, select Security Info to add additional methods for MFA or Password Reset.
  • Select Add Method and choose from the same options as above.
    • Phone (text to phone is recommended )
    • Phone (call mobile phone is recommended)
    • Security Questions (is recommended for Password Reset)
    • Email other than WCC email (recommended for Password Reset)
    • Alternate Phone
    • Authenticator App

Users must have two methods for MFA and Password Reset.

Users can update security methods for MFA in their Office 365 profile.

  • Go to Office 365 My Profile http://myprofile.microsoft.com/
  • Sign in with college email and current password (Example: jdemployee123@wilkescc.edu)
  • Select Security Info
  • Users must complete an additional security method to gain access to Security info.
  • In the Security Info, current methods will be shown.
  • Delete any old methods.
  • Select Add Method to add additional methods.  Options are:
    • Phone (text to phone is recommended)
    • Phone (call mobile phone is recommended)
    • Security Questions (recommended for Password Reset)
    • Email other than WCC email (recommended for Password Reset)
    • Alternate Phone
    • Authenticator Apps

Users must have two methods for MFA and Password Reset.

Users can reset their own passwords after they setup security methods in Office 365.  If you have not enrolled in Multi-Factor Authentication and Password Reset, see those instructions.

  • Go to Office 365 Password Reset
  • Enter college email (Example jdemployee123@wilkescc.edu)
  • Respond to security Captcha by  following prompts
  • Create new password with minimum of twelve characters and three of the four complexity requirements of upper case letters, lower case letters, numeric, or special character.

The iNsider is a employee portal with links to employee resources, Office 365 email, and important college announcement. Resources include Office 365, Self-Service, Moodle, KnowBe4 Training, Docusign, E-forms, and more.  Employees should sign into the iNsider regularly for important college announcements.

The iNsider is password protected, all employees must sign in.

  • Click Step 3 above for the iNsider
  • Enter WCC email address and current password.  Example: jdemployee123@wilkescc.edu
  • Users off campus will be prompted with an additional security method.

Office 365 as the main method of communication for both employees and students.

Office 365 is more than just email, users can use the Microsoft Office applications they know such as Word, Excel, and Power Point, as well as new applications like Planner and Skype for Business.

How do I sign into Office 365?

  • From the iNsider, select the Office 365 icon.
  • To open email, select the Outlook App from Office 365.

Moodle is Wilkes Community College’s online learning management system. Moodle courses provide a central location for accessing online course information, such as course announcements, course syllabi, grades, activities, assignments, tests, discussion boards, course content.

How do I sign into Moodle?

  • From the iNsider, select the Moodle icon.
  • Enter User ID and current password.

Self-Service can be access from the iNsider or click here for Self-Service.

  • Enter WCC email and current password.
  • Select Tax Information from the Self-Service menu.
  • Select W-2 Information from the top tab, then select the Tax Year you wish to download.
