What are the eligibility requirements?

  • Be a 2020 or 2021 North Carolina high school graduate who did not go to university after graduation.
  • Enroll at Wilkes Community College for the first time (not including CCP) during fall 2021 or spring 2022.
  • Be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the school year you plan to attend.
  • Enroll for at least six credit hours per semester in a curriculum program.
  • Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements of WCC.

How do I apply?

  1. Complete the NC Residency Determination.
  2. Apply to WCC.
  3. Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  4. Complete WCC Scholarship Application.
  5. Submit official high school transcripts to the WCC Admissions Office.
  6. Submit any requested financial aid verification documents to the WCC Financial Aid Office.
