Division of Learning Resources (LR) / Pardue Library

The mission of the Division of Learning Resources (LR) / Pardue Library is to support the college in its educational, research, and cultural endeavors through orientation, careful selection, acquisition, organization, and circulation of information resources. Learning Resources components include the main library and the James Larkin Pearson Library. Cooperative agreements are in place with Ashe and Alleghany Public Libraries to support off-campus centers and distance learning.

The Library houses printed and audio-visual media including over 52,000 volumes of books, microforms, Internet access, genealogy materials as Family Search, current periodicals, and newspapers. NCLIVE gives Internet access to hundreds of journals, newspapers, and magazine articles. There is an extensive collection on local and area history, including microfilm of Wilkes County records. Library orientation is provided for groups or individuals.
