Criteria to Award College Credit for High School Courses

 

     Did you take vocational courses in high school such as keyboarding, computer applications, drafting, or automotive? There may have been some vocational course you took as a high school student for which you can receive community college credit.

 

     The following criteria are used to award college credit for identified high school courses:

•  Grade of B or higher in the course and
•  A raw score of 80 or higher on the standardized VoCATS post-assessment

     Official high school transcripts and official standardized VoCATS post-assessment scores are required. Contact your school's Career Center to attain a copy of your scores.

     To receive articulated credit, students must enroll at Wilkes Community College within two years of their high school graduation date.

 

Once WCC receives this information, credit will be awarded and

credit evaluation forms will be mailed to the students.
