Financial aid in the form of academic and need based grants, guaranteed student loans, college work study, and a host of other resources is available to qualified students. It is recommended that applications for federal student aid and WCC scholarships be submitted by April 1 preceding fall enrollment at the college.

Wilkes Community College has made a commitment to developing and enhancing all of our athletic programs and we ask that youcontact us if you need more information concerning our programs.

The college's commitment stems from the support of a progressive administration and an enthusiastic faculty, staff and community groups. They have provided an environment for the Wilkes student athlete to succeed in the classroom and on the court or playing field. Wilkes has upgraded many of its facilities including the Bumgarner Gymnasium, new athletic offices, fitness center and a refurbished weight room.

As a dynamic institution, Wilkes Community College is engaged in a continuous process of updating programs and services to best meet the needs of the community. These efforts include enhancing teaching and learning and creating programs for the 21st century, improving services to students, and facilitating connections within the community. The Cougar Athletic program is dedicated to providing those activities that improve the quality of life.
